  • For fourth-graders, moving up in school means getting to join Star Wars club

    Jedi masters and their Padawan apprentices recently invaded St. Thomas the Apostle School in Delmar to save the galaxy from danger — and were back just in time for popsicles. It was the last meeting of the year for the school’s popular Star Wars club.

    Mikey McDonald looks no different than his competition when running on the track. No one knows that, at six years old, the freshman at Saratoga Central Catholic High School was diagnosed with mild cerebral palsy (CP), a neurological disorder that impairs motor function and movement.
